Function

The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) provides online educational content in several topic areas: human subjects protection (CITI-IRB), good clinical practice (CITI-GCP), health information privacy and security (CITI-HIPS), and responsible conduct of research (CITI-RCR). 

The CITI-HIPS curriculum is a result of a joint effort of UM Ethics Programs and Medical Information Technology.

Access

You must register at the CITI site (use link above) to obtain a user-ID and password for the site.  Users must be affiliated with an organization that is a member of the CITI program.

Additional considerations

While registration is required, materials on the CITI site are available to all medical campus faculty, staff and students without charge.
