If you've lived in South Florida for a while, you probably know the hurricane preparation drill by heart.  But we think it never hurts to review the basic steps for protecting devices and data.  Read more here.

 

Adobe Acrobat is one of the most popular software requests on the Medical campus.  UM now has a site license for Acrobat Professional 9 for Mac and PC, and you can download it for free from the Medical Information Technology web site.  You can access Medical IT’s software download page here.

 

Most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) provide customers with free anti-virus software.  If yours does, you should download and install it from the ISP's web site.   If yours doesn't, you can download a free home version of the same Symantec Endpoint Protection anti-virus and anti-spyware software used on campus systems.  You can access Medical IT’s software download page here.
