Function

Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 is an instant messenger client for Windows PCs that uses the Medical campus’ Office Communications Server to help users communicate with each other.

Access

Communicator is client software that is installed on your Windows PC. It uses your Medical ID and password for authentication.  The software can be downloaded and installed from the download section of this web site.

Additional considerations

This software is currently being tested on the Medical Campus.  It is provided as is, with limited support, and no guarantee of service availability or performance.  Unlike email, Communicator sessions are not currently backed up or archived. 

Office Communicator was formerly known as Live Communicator. The Mac version of Communicator 2007 is called Messenger for Mac 7.
