Email, contact and calendar services
All faculty, staff and students are provided with access to the Medical Center's Exchange electronic mail system. This is the primary messaging system for email, and includes calendar, contact list and task list functionality. (The Newssun system was retired in August 2006.)
Exchange can be accessed via an email client (software installed on a desktop or laptop computer), or through Outlook Web Access. Exchange can also be accessed from mobile devices like PDAs, Blackberries, Treo Smartphones and other mobile phones with Internet access.

How do you get an account?
Supervisors can open an email account for faculty or staff, by sending an email request to the Help Desk (help@med.miami.edu). Please provide the new user's C-number, full name, job title, departmental affiliation, office location, and a contact phone number.
Requests for students should be sent from their academic department (e.g., Medical Education for medical students, Graduate Studies for other graduate students).
