Biomedical Engineering

The Medical campus is the home of thousands of electronic devices that support clinical care and research.  The Biomedical Engineering group is responsible for acquisition, installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of this equipment.  

Services

• Preventive maintenance and repair (non-emergency) and emergency repair services
• Biomedical device safety program
• First-responder for contract maintenance
• Coordination and contract management for outsourced maintenance and repairs
• Coordination with Materials Management on device recalls and repairs
• Electrical certification testing/benchmarking
• Risk assessments
• JCAHO and other regulatory preparedness/compliance
• Device inventory management
